Iain Bamforth’s previous prose works include A Doctor’s Dictionary (Carcanet, 2015), The Good European (Carcanet, 2006) and The Body in the Library (Verso, 2003). He has contributed over the years to many publications, both literary and medical, including the TLS, London Review of Books, PN Review, Quadrant, The Threepenny Review, Lapham’s Quarterly, The Lancet, The British Journal of General Practice and The Linguist. He is a doctor of letters as well as a doctor of medicine and currently lives in Strasbourg.
