Don Marquis was born in 1878, in Walnut, Ill., U.S.A. and died in 1937, in New York. He was a poet, humourist, playwright and above all, a journalist.
He did regular columns for both The New York Tribune and The Sun. His works also appeared in The Saturday Evening Post, Harpers, Cosmopolitan and many others.
